Iowa REALTORS® Ambassadors serve as liasons between committees in their area of expertise, local boards and the Association.
The ambassador program is structured to follow Iowa REALTORS® four main pillars and there will be one Ambassador for each. The four areas are: Organization; Advoacy; Risk Management/Legal; and Member Engagement.
In 2026, the applications will be accepted for the Member Engagement and Organization positions. The term shall cover two years.
Candidates for Ambassador must have been a licensed REALTOR® for a minimum of three years and shall have met any three of the following qualifications:
- Chaired a Local Association Committee within the last three years
- Served as a Local Association President
- Chaired an Iowa REALTORS® Committee
- Served as an FPC for Iowa REALTORS®
- Served on an NAR Committee
- Completed Iowa REALTORS® Leadership Institute
- Served on a minimum of three Iowa REALTORS® Committees within the last three years
Candidates for Ambassador must complete the Iowa REALTORS® Leadership Institute prior to the end of the year in which they are installed. Candidates must have attended 30% of Iowa REALTORS® meetings over the preceding two years.
