Thank you for your interest in becoming a Wild Coast Steward at The Nature Conservancy’s Jack and Laura Dangermond Preserve—one of California’s most remarkable living laboratories for conservation, research, and community education. Our docent program offers a unique opportunity to help connect visitors, partners, and community members with the stories of the landscape: its unique biodiversity, rich cultural history, ambitious restoration efforts, and the science guiding its stewardship. As a Wild Coast Steward, you will serve as an ambassador for the preserve, helping to create inclusive, meaningful experiences that inspire curiosity, deepen understanding, and foster a shared commitment to protecting California’s wild places. Whether leading guided walks or volunteer days, supporting community events, or helping students explore the preserve’s diverse habitats, your role will be essential in welcoming people into this rare and inspiring coastal ecosystem. We’re excited to learn more about you, your interests, and the perspectives you would bring to this growing community.
