Collective Members sign a lease with Say Art Studios & Galleries / Bake The Studio LLC for an agreed upon length of time. Collective Members have 24 hour / 7 day a week key access to the gallery / studio space. A refundable key deposit is due at signing.

Collective Members are renting gallery space and are not employees of Say Art Studios & Galleries / Bake The Studio LLC. Collective Members are responsible for reporting income for tax purposes for all art sales made through Say Art Studios & Galleries. Say Art Studios will report/pay all sales tax collected for all gallery sales.

Collective Members are to carry business insurance / renters insurance to cover artworks. Say Art Studios & Galleries is not responsible for any damage or loss to property or artworks for any reasons. Say Art Studios & Galleries will carry the business license with the city of Pacific Missouri for Say Art Studios & Galleries to operate legally in the commercial storefront.

Accepted artists will sign an agreement which details the operations and expectations of Say Art Studios & Galleries. All sales for artwork shown in the gallery are rang via the gallery with a commission paid to the artist for sales of artwork.

Our practices are grounded in narrative bodies of work and a shared commitment to conceptual depth, fearless self-expression, and queer perspectives. Leaning into the spirit of “Say Art,” we use art as conversation and connection—centering creativity, process, and a shared exploration of our ideas.

Yes, I understand and would be excited to be a Collective Member.I don’t know if the above Mission Statement reflects my work as an artist but I still would like to interview.
Can you commit to work in community with other artists for 12-15 hours a month to cover needed shifts, help with gallery events and attend meetings?

Yes, I am a full / part time artist.Sure, Some weeks I will have more time available than others, however I am committed to working with others to maintain open hours for the gallery.No, I have too many other commitments to spend any time at the gallery.

Applications are reviewed and voted on by members of The Collective at 123 with particular attention to artistic quality, conceptual alignment, professionalism, and community fit as a Collective Member.

All applicants will be contacted within 30 days of application via email with information regarding gallery availability / the interview process. If spaces are unavailable, this request to interview will be kept on file.

Applicant should be prepared for a portfolio review of current work.
