  • Permanent makeup (PMU) is a cosmetic tattooing procedure that implants pigment into the upper layers of the skin to enhance natural features such as brows, lips, and lash lines. Results are considered permanent but will fade over time, often requiring touch-ups to maintain the desired appearance. While PMU is generally safe when performed by a trained professional, risks may include temporary redness, swelling, tenderness, dryness, poor pigment retention, uneven fading, color changes, infection, allergic reaction, scarring, or asymmetry. Healing and final results vary based on skin type, medical history, lifestyle, and adherence to aftercare instructions, and no specific outcome or longevity can be guaranteed.

  • AM I A CANDIDATE?

Individuals who may NOT be candidates for permanent makeup include those who are under the age of 18, pregnant or nursing; have uncontrolled diabetes, autoimmune disorders, bleeding or clotting disorders; are prone to keloid scarring; are undergoing chemotherapy, radiation, or immunosuppressive therapy; have active skin infections, rashes, dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, or open wounds in the treatment area; have taken Accutane (isotretinoin) within the past 12 months. Clients taking blood-thinning medications, steroids, antibiotics, or other prescription medications that affect healing, bleeding, or immune response may not be suitable candidates. If you are on any prescription medication or medical therapy, you must consult with your physician prior to booking to confirm that permanent makeup is safe for you. We cannot do lip blushing if you have active cold sores (for lip services), if you're prone to cold sores you will need to get a prescription like Valtrex and take days before and days after lip blushing/as directed by physician.

  • BOOKING PROCESS:

    1) Carefully review all provided information to determine if you're a candidate for permanent makeup.

Your health history, medications, and ability to follow both pre- and post-care are crucial, as these factors greatly affect comfort during the appointment, pigment penetration, retention, and overall healing.

    2) After completing consent forms, send one clear, makeup-free photo to Lindsay for review. While many cover-ups are successful, not every client qualifies. This step ensures approval in advance and respects both your time and mine.

    3) A non-refundable $100 deposit is required to reserve your appointment date. This deposit will be applied toward your service but will be forfeited if canceled or rescheduled within 72 hours of your scheduled appointment.

    4) If you opt for a Lip Block with Roya for Lip Blushing, Lindsay will contact Roya to coordinate.

  • PERMANENT MAKEUP OPTIONS

    Lip Blushing

Lip blushing is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo that enhances your natural lip color, shape, and symmetry. A custom color is deposited softly into the lips to create a sheer, youthful tint-think your lips, but better. The result is more even tone, improved definition, and a naturally flushed look without harsh outlines. Once healed, lips appear fuller, brighter, and more balanced.

    Eyebrows

Permanent makeup brows are fully customized based on your natural brow hair, skin type, previous work, and desired outcome. Techniques may include nano hair strokes, powder shading, or a fusion of both to create brows that look soft, natural, and realistic. The goal is to enhance shape, fill sparse areas, correct asymmetry, and frame the face-never harsh or overdone.

    Lash Enhancement

Lash enhancement is a subtle tattoo placed along the lash line to create the illusion of fuller, darker lashes. This is not a traditional eyeliner look-it's designed to define the eyes in a very natural way, making lashes appear thicker and eyes more awake, even without makeup.

    #Important:

Each service has specific pre-care and post-care instructions that are essential for comfort, pigment retention, and proper healing. Not following the simple instructions can lead to excessive bleeding which inhibits pigment, discomfort and blotchy results or minimal retention.

  • PERMANENT MAKEUP IS COMPLETED IN AT LEAST TWO SESSIONS:

    Why two sessions are needed:

Session 1 - First Time with Lindsay

We create the shape, select the color, and design the overall look.

Session 2 - Touch Up (Perfecting Session)

Once the skin has fully healed, we assess pigment retention, adjust color as needed, reinforce any areas that have faded, and make refinements for balance, symmetry, and longevity.

Because everyone's skin heals and retains pigment differently, the second session is essential for achieving the most natural, even, and long-lasting results. In some cases, an additional touch-up may be recommended depending on skin type, lifestyle, and desired intensity.

Mature skin, sun-damaged skin, previously over-tattooed lips, very full or heavily filled lips, and areas with scar tissue can make pigment more difficult to implant and retain. These factors may result in lighter healing, uneven retention, or the need for additional sessions. The same challenges can apply to brows and lash enhancement, especially when there is prior tattooing, scar tissue, oily or textured skin, or significant sun damage. When you send a clear, makeup-free photo, I will give you an honest assessment of candidacy and realistic expectations for what I believe can be achieved, including whether permanent makeup is appropriate or if alternative options may be recommended.

  • IMPORTANT BOOKING INFORMATION:

Whether you have had permanent makeup done by another artist previously or this is your first time ever, all first-time appointments with Lindsay must be booked as "First Time with Lindsay."

Appointments from other artist's are not considered a touch-up or color refresh.

Please book in the following order:

    • First Time with Lindsay
    • Touch-Up (scheduled 6-12 weeks after your initial session)
    • Color Refresh (refer to the recommended timeline (website), typically 6 months-2 years, depending on skin type and desired intensity)

If you choose to visit another permanent makeup artist, any future service with Lindsay will not be considered a touch-up or color refresh. All work performed by another artist will be treated as previous tattooing, and your appointment will begin from square one as a first-time service with Lindsay, including full assessment, correction strategy if needed, and standard first-session pricing.

This booking structure ensures proper assessment, healing, and the best long-term results.

  • RISKS- There is a minor risk of allergic reactions to the numbing agent or ink. Should you experience intense pain during the procedure, it is advisable to request an immediate cessation of the process. Even with preventive measures, it's still possible to develop a cold sore after your appointment or develop an allergy to the ink long after the procedure.

MARIJUANA, ALCOHOL, CAFFIENE, FISH OIL + BLOOD THINNERS- It is crucial to refrain from consuming marijuana, alcohol, and caffeine 24 hours before procedure.

Marijuana can induce unnecessary sensitivity and potential paranoia, while alcohol and caffeine may lead to increased bleeding, swelling, sensitivity, irritation, and wash out pigment penetration.

FILLER & TOX- If you're thinking about getting lip filler or tox please schedule your appointment for 30 days before or after your PMU procedure. Mapping your face for any procedure can change with tox and filler I would recommend getting it before PMU and giving it time to settle

If you're looking for a skilled injector, I can recommend several experienced, talented professionals.

  • Payment is due in full at the time of service. Accepted forms of payment include Venmo, Cash App, or cash.
