Body Waxing - Excluding Intimate Areas
Full Leg Wax – This service removes hair from the upper thighs all the way down to the ankles and toes, if needed. The skin is cleansed and a pre-wax solution is applied. Soft wax is commonly used for larger areas like the legs, removed with strips to extract hair from the root. After waxing, a soothing lotion or serum is applied to calm the skin.
Half Leg Wax – You may choose either the upper leg (thigh to knee) or lower leg (knee to ankle). The skin is cleaned and prepped, and soft wax is used for efficient hair removal. Post-wax products are applied to reduce irritation and hydrate the skin.
Full Arm Wax – Hair is removed from the shoulders to the wrists, including the hands and fingers if desired. The skin is cleansed, and soft wax is used to remove hair quickly and effectively. After the wax, a cooling lotion is applied to soothe the skin.
Half Arm Wax – This includes either the upper arm (shoulder to elbow) or lower arm (elbow to wrist). The area is prepped with a cleanser and pre-wax product. Soft wax is typically used, followed by a soothing lotion or serum.
Underarm Wax –Hair is removed from the entire underarm area. The skin is cleaned and prepped before applying hard wax, which is ideal for smaller, sensitive areas. A calming serum is used afterward to reduce redness and help close the pores.
Back Wax – This service removes hair from the entire back, including shoulders if needed. The skin is cleansed and prepared with a pre-wax solution. Soft wax is used for broad coverage, followed by a cooling post-wax treatment.
Chest Wax – Hair is removed from the chest area, typically from collarbone to just below the ribcage, and can include the stomach if requested. The area is cleansed, soft wax is applied and removed with strips, and a calming lotion is applied afterward.
I understand that the following are among the expected side effects of this treatment:
Redness/Irritation: Waxing larger body areas may result in temporary redness, sensitivity, or swelling, especially in areas with coarse hair.
Skin Irritation: Clients may experience minor itching, bumps, or dryness in the waxed area during the healing period.
Skin Lifting: Thin or compromised skin may lift with the wax, leading to scabbing or irritation.
Unsatisfactory Results: Some hair may break at the surface or be missed if too short, resulting in a slightly uneven outcome.
Allergic Reactions: Some individuals may react to the wax or post-wax products with redness, hives, or rash.
I acknowledge the following has been discussed with me:
- I understand the Risks / Complications / Side effects / Consequences associated with receiving body waxing services. I further understand that as part of the procedure, skin redness, irritation, temporary swelling, tenderness, itching, bumps, ingrown hairs, or in rare cases, skin lifting or infection may occur. I agree that if I experience any of these medical conditions following my treatment, I will contact my provider and consult a doctor at my own expense.
- I understand that even though my provider uses appropriate techniques and high-quality waxing products, irritation or reaction may still result due to skin sensitivity, product ingredients, or pre-existing skin conditions.
- I understand and agree to follow the post-wax care instructions provided by my provider. I acknowledge that failure to follow these recommendations may increase the likelihood of adverse skin reactions, such as breakouts or ingrown hairs.
- Financial Responsibilities – This procedure is elective and not medically necessary and therefore is not covered by insurance. Any complications requiring medical care, treatment, or additional services will be at the client’s expense. There are no refunds.
Aftercare Instructions:
For the first 24–48 hours after waxing:
- Avoid heat: No hot baths, saunas, steam rooms, tanning beds, or intense workouts. Heat and sweat can irritate freshly waxed skin.
- No tight clothing: Wear loose, breathable fabrics to reduce friction and allow the skin to breathe.
- Avoid touching the area: Hands can transfer bacteria and cause irritation or breakouts.
- No exfoliation or active skincare: Refrain from using scrubs, AHAs, BHAs, retinol, or scented lotions on waxed areas.
- Avoid swimming: Chlorinated pools, hot tubs, and saltwater can cause stinging and increase irritation.
Ongoing care (starting 2–3 days post-wax):
- Exfoliate regularly: Gently exfoliate the area 2–3 times a week using a mild scrub or exfoliating mitt to prevent ingrown hairs.
- Moisturize daily: Use a fragrance-free, soothing moisturizer to keep skin hydrated and healthy.
- Use ingrown hair serum if needed: If you're prone to bumps or ingrowns, apply a specialized product to calm and clear the skin.
- Avoid shaving between waxes: This disrupts the hair growth cycle and can lead to coarser regrowth.
