    Camp Age & Readiness Expectations

To ensure a safe and positive camp experience for all:

    • Campers must be potty-trained and able to use the restroom independently.
    • Campers should be able to use basic tools (scissors, markers, etc.) safely and appropriately with supervision.

Campers are expected to demonstrate age-appropriate maturity, including:

    • Following teacher instructions.
    • Respecting fellow campers and staff.
    • Engaging in group activities in a safe and cooperative manner.

For the safety of all, we reserve the right to remove a camper from camp if:

    Support & Inclusion

    • Maker Studio Kidz welcomes all children and does not discriminate on the basis of ability, neurodiversity, or special needs.
    • We strive to be as inclusive as possible within the limits of our staff training and resources.
    • Families are encouraged to share any background information, tools, or strategies that may help staff support their child’s success in camp.
    • Please note: because we are a private independent program, accommodations are limited to what we can reasonably provide with our staffing structure.

    Behavior & Warning System

We believe in supporting children through redirection, reminders, and positive reinforcement.

If a camper repeatedly struggles to meet safety or behavior expectations, the following steps may be taken:

    1. Verbal Reminder/Redirection – staff will remind the camper of expectations and guide them back to safe participation.
    2. Parent Communication – staff will inform parents if concerns continue.
    3. Removal from Camp – if safety or disruption issues persist, Maker Studio reserves the right to withdraw the camper from the program.
