Contemporary Dialogues on Culture and Identity
  • Lost in Translation is an interdisciplinary exhibition that explores how meaning, identity, and cultural memory shift as they move across language, material, and context. The exhibition invites artists to consider translation not as a process of loss alone, but as one of transformation—where forms, traditions, and narratives are reinterpreted through contemporary practice.Artists are encouraged to reflect on questions of cultural inheritance, hybridity, displacement, and material storytelling. Submissions may address translation literally or metaphorically, through material, form, process, or concept. Works that engage with vessels, objects, memory, or embodied histories are especially welcome, though all media are eligible. Submissions are open to artists working in any medium.Artists may submit up to 3 images representing up to 3 artworks, or multiple views of fewer works. All submissions must be received by January 14, 2026 at 11:59 PM (EST).
