ROSA invites musicians in Denmark to apply for a one-week work residency in Paris during June 2026. The residency offers an opportunity to strengthen your presence and career opportunities in France, as well as to establish and/or expand international networks.
A one-week residency includes/covers:
- A tailor-made stay planned in collaboration with you (e.g. songwriting, co-writing, showcases, meetings, collaborations with French musicians)
- Accommodation in the heart of the Marais district in Paris
- A contribution of DKK 2,100 to cover meals
- Opportunity for professional sparring with ROSA’s project manager and network in Paris
You are responsible for covering:
- Travel expenses to/from Paris and local transportation (We encourage you to apply for travel funding, for example through ROSA’s international transport support, your trade union, or similar)
- Meals exceeding ROSA’s contribution of DKK 2,100
You may apply for a residency during one of the following periods:
- 1–7 June (week 23)
- 8–14 June (week 24)
- 15–21 June (week 25)
- 22–28 June (week 26)
What should your application include?
A motivated application describing your idea/project and how you intend to use the residency to advance your musical practice. Please be as specific as possible regarding who you plan to contact or meet with, and whether you would like support or advice related to showcases, collaborations with French musicians, etc.
One of our committee members is French- and English-speaking, and therefore we would greatly appreciate it if your application is written in English.
Criteria and selection
In the selection process, emphasis will be placed on:
- Your idea and motivation for the residency
- Any experience with the French market, e.g. collaborations, live performances, or releases
- Your strategy for how you will use the residency to advance your musical career
- To apply, you must be a composer/songwriter, musician, or producer.
All applications will be assessed by an external selection committee. In 2026 the committee will be Johan Dalgaard (Musician/composer, based in Paris), Flavia Couri (Musician/composer, The Courettes) and Marc Thonon (Manager and former director of Bureau Export)
