AES Chapter Grant Program Application

At AES, we are committed to building a more sustainable and resilient future for all. We recognize that local communities play a vital role in advancing environmental, social, and economic progress. That's why we are proud to partner with local FFA chapters to support education, sustainability, and mental health initiatives in agriculture.

Proposed projects should align with one of the following focus areas (definitions below):

Agribusiness education initiatives
Innovation in agriculture and energy
Mental health in agriculture

Applications from FFA chapters located within AES project areas will receive priority consideration including the following states: AZ, CA, GA, HI, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, ME, MA, MI, MN, MS, MO, NJ, NY, NC, OK, PA, SC, TX, UT, VA, WV, WY.

The deadline to submit applications is Friday, October 30, 2026. Grants of up to $5,000 will be awarded to selected applicants and distributed in November 2026.

Which area does your project fit into?

Agribusiness Education Initiatives: Projects that help students learn about different careers in agriculture, agribusiness, and renewable energy. They focus on the skills and knowledge needed for jobs that are both successful and sustainable. Projects connect what students learn in school to real jobs and industries. Examples include new lessons and classroom materials, hands-on activities, and programs that teach students about farming businesses and career options. Topics may include how farms are managed, how land is leased or shared, planning for the future of a farm, and learning workplace skills that prepare students for careers in agriculture and energy.Innovation in Agriculture & Energy: Projects that focus on new and creative ways to connect farming with renewable energy. Students are encouraged to come up with practical ideas and bold solutions that bring together food production, clean energy, and strong communities. Examples include using land for both farming and energy at the same time (like letting sheep graze under solar panels), creating projects that fight misinformation, and developing new ideas led by students.Mental Health in Agriculture: Projects that focus on helping people in farming and agriculture take care of their mental health. They support farmers, ranchers, and others in agricultural communities by helping them manage stress, feel supported, and get help when they need it. Projects can include stress-management activities, peer support groups, counseling services, mental health education and training, and events that help reduce stigma and make it easier to find mental health resources.
