6. Poster AbstractPlease submit an abstract of a research or project poster up to 250 words to be presented at the 2026 AIARD Annual Conference. This could either be completed research, a project-based poster, or a conceptual framework and literature if you are still early in the research process.

I am committed to the mission of AIARD and I am willing to support the mission through a volunteer activity within one year of receiving the award. This activity could include: serving on one of AIARD’s sub-committees for a period of one year (see list of committees below – please note that the committees meet virtually); hosting a campus event to inform other students and faculty about AIARD’s mission and purpose; serving as a campus point-of-contact in recruiting FLF applicants for the next year’s competition; or, an activity I may propose to AIARD subject to approval by the AIARD Executive Committee. If you are not selected for the AIARD Future Leader Fellowship, would you be interested in participating in the FLF Professional Development Day?As part of the AIARD Annual Meeting, the FLF Committee will organize a full-day FLF Professional Development Day in Washington, DC on June 3, 2026. This experience will provide early-career professionals with the opportunity to visit and engage with international development organizations, research institutions, philanthropic foundations, and consulting and implementation firms based in Washington, DC. The day is designed to expose participants to diverse career pathways in international agriculture and rural development, highlight the skills organizations are seeking, and offer insights into how institutions are adapting to a changing global funding and policy environment.
