Creative Circle: Grief
  • Creative Circle: Grief

Registration form for our next free workshop. Please sign up each month so we can save your spot.
  • Join our free monthly creative wellness circle offered by The Aplomb Project in Dover, New Hampshire, led by Marissa Thibeau.

This group is for individuals experiencing grief related to loss, change, or life transitions. Art-making provides a way to sit with complex emotions without needing to explain or resolve them. Participants are welcome to attend whether their grief is recent, ongoing, or difficult to name. Conversation about personal loss is not required. The focus is on creating alongside others in a supportive, grounded environment.

Marissa Thibeau will lead a guided creative experience that combines mindfulness, intuitive art, and personal inquiry to support inner clarity and self-connection. Using chalk pastels on kraft paper, participants will engage in a new form of active meditation, where spontaneous insights become a tool for listening to the inner voice. All materials are provided. No prior experience needed, please come as you are.

Through a grounding visualization, gentle prompts, and the creation of a personal color decoder key, you'll explore a question or intention and express what arises through color, shape, and texture. Participants are invited to share their reflections in a warm, judgment-free space that fosters community, connection, and mutual insight. This process supports nervous-system regulation, emotional expression, creative flow, and deeper connection to the essence self and community.

By completing this form, you are registering for the next monthly circle for the upcoming First Tuesdays, 6:30-8 PM at Aplomb, 262 Central Ave, Dover, NH or via zoom. We have free parking behind the gallery off of Kirkland Street. You will receive a reminder prior to the event with all participation details.

    About Your Instructor, Marissa Thibeau:

Life has asked Marissa Thibeau to practice this truth personally as well. Through seasons of illness, caregiving, loss, identity shifts, and profound transitions, creativity became a steady companion. Once someone who planned relentlessly — using a plan to plan the plan — Marissa came to recognize how this constant structuring was holding her back from experiencing her truest self.

Blending structured methods with creative intentionality became a way for her to stay present with what was unfolding, without needing to explain, fix, or rush the experience. This way of being: patient, spacious, and deeply human, is what shapes Marissa’s method, Drawn from Within.
