Trauma & the Body: Coffee Conversation + Early Book Signing with Dr. Aimie Apigian
Understanding Safety, Stress & Healing Through the Biology of Trauma®
Join physician and author Dr. Aimie Apigian for an intimate coffee conversation on trauma, the nervous system, and the body's path back to safety—plus an early book signing of The Biology of Trauma®.
How does trauma live in the body—and how do we truly heal?
In this intimate, café-style gathering, physician, author, and founder of The Biology of Trauma®, Dr. Aimie Apigian, will lead a live conversation on trauma, the nervous system, and the body's capacity to reorganize around safety.
You'll learn how past overwhelm can quietly shape your health, stress response, and relationships—and what's actually possible when we address trauma through the lens of biology, not just psychology.
This is a small, in-person gathering for those who want to go deeper than social media posts and sound bites, and connect in real time around the question: "What does it actually look like to heal trauma in and through the body?"
What We'll Do Together
Meeting at Simona’s Coffee inside Colton House Hotel, we will explore:
• Adaptive reorganization to danger
How the body intelligently rewires itself around a world that feels unsafe and how those patterns show up in health, stress, and relationships.
• The biology of trauma
Nervous system states, stress chemistry, inflammation, and how chronic symptoms can emerge when the body stays in survival mode.
• What safety really means in the body
Why mindset alone often isn’t enough and how biological safety creates the foundation for real, lasting change.
• Live conversation and Q&A
Space to ask Dr. Aimie questions about trauma, health, healing, and the body’s capacity to reorganize around safety.
We'll end with a mini book signing + connection time, where you can:
• Bring your copy of the book (Dr. Aimie will also have a few additional copies available)
• Meet others on a healing or professional journey
• Learn ways to stay connected with Dr. Aimie's work and programs in 2026
Who This Is For
This gathering is open to:
• Therapists, coaches, and helping professionals
• Physicians and health practitioners interested in trauma-informed medicine
• Somatic, bodywork, and movement practitioners
• Individuals on their own healing journey who resonate with a body-based, holistic approach
You do not need any prior training—just curiosity and a desire to understand yourself and others more deeply.
