New York Stage and Film– FMW Application

Thank you for your interest in applying to New York Stage & Film's 2026 Filmmakers' Workshop!

We are seeking pilots and feature-length scripts that are beyond the first-draft stage but not quite yet at the finish line. We’re looking for writers who are committed to the revision process, and ready to use this program to help sharpen their scripts and bring them to the next level.

Application Fee: $35

If this fee is inaccessible to you, you may fill out a fee waiver application form. Please note waivers are extremely limited, and we take care to ensure they go towards those who can most greatly benefit from this assistance. We appreciate your cooperation and request that only individuals in need of this assistance apply.

The deadline to apply is February 22, 2026 at 11:59 PM EST. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unlikely able to respond to each application (but we'll try)!

Applicants will be contacted if we wish to request a phone or video interview. If you do not receive a response by April 1, 2026, we encourage you to apply again next year. We look forward to engaging with your work in the future!
