    Respect-Safety-Horsemanship

Our riding program is committed to creating a safe, positive, and respectful environment for all riders, trainers, horses, and staff. Participation in lessons requires adherence to the following code of conduct.

    1. Respect for the Trainer

    • Riders are expected to listen carefully and follow instructions promptly.
    • Questions are encouraged at appropriate times; interruptions during instruction should be avoided.
    • Trainers' decisions regarding safety, horse assignments, and lesson structure are final.
    • Disrespectful or inappropriate language, tone, or behavior toward the trainer will not be tolerated.

    2. Respect for Fellow Riders

    • Treat all riders with courtesy, patience, and kindness regardless of age, experience, or skill level.
    • No teasing, gossip, bullying, or negative comments-on or off the horse.
    • Maintain safe spacing between horses and be mindful of others in the arena.
    • Support a positive learning environment by encouraging one another.

    3. Respect for Horses

    • Horses must always be treated with kindness, patience, and empathy.
    • No yelling, hitting, kicking, or excessive force toward any horse.
    • Follow proper grooming, tacking, and untacking procedures as instructed.
    • Remember that horses are living partners, not equipment-calm, consistent handling is always expected.

    4. Safety and Responsibility

    • Approved riding attire and helmets must be worn as required.
    • Horses may only be handled or ridden with trainer permission.
    • No running, shouting, or unsafe behavior in the barn, arena, or turnout areas.
    • Riders must report any concerns about tack, horses, or safety immediately.

    5. Attitude and Sportsmanship

    • Arrive on time and prepared for lessons.
    • Give your best effort while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude.
    • Accept feedback as part of learning and growth.
    • Poor sportsmanship or repeated negative behavior may result in removal from the lesson.

    6. Consequences
