2026 Youth Summer Internship Program Application

The Youth Summer Internship Program allows young people to complete a PAID internship with employers throughout San Antonio. Students complete a max of 120 hours within 6-7 weeks and receive $13/hour. An average of 20 hours per week are encouraged, however, interns can work over 20 hours in a week to make up missed hours only if the employer allows with parent permission. Interns will be required to participate in a Professional Development Day (in May) and have an opportunity to attend an in-person college or business trip; attending both can be counted for work hours.

- Youth who are accepted will be admitted into internship program pending Family Service receiving 2026 award notification from the City of San Antonio this spring.
- Applications submitted after the deadline are automatically waitlisted.
- Online application and ALL required documents MUST BE submitted by the deadline to be considered for the internship.
- The internship has limited spots. Once list reaches capacity, all applicants will be placed on a waitlist.
