Florida Society of Dermatologic Surgeons (FSDS)
Resident / Fellow Surgical Symposium
45th Annual Meeting of the Florida Society of Dermatologic Surgeons
July 31 - August 2, 2026 | The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes
All abstracts must be uploaded by Friday, June 26, 2026
Guidelines
The FSDS is calling for dermatology residents and fellows to submit abstracts related to topics in dermatologic surgery or cutaneous oncology, preferably representing clinical trials, original studies, or unique case reports of educational value. Six (6) abstracts will be chosen from all submissions for oral presentations on Saturday, August 1, 2026. Remaining applicants are invited to present a poster at the meeting.
Each resident or fellow should submit an abstract of 500 words or less, describing an overview of the topic to be discussed. (See format below)
A scoring system from 1 to 5 (5 is best) will be given to each oral submission. Members of the FSDS Residents/Fellow Surgical Symposium Forum Committee will score each submission and submit it to the Society Office to tabulate and determine the highest scoring abstracts. Names and affiliated institutions will be removed from each submission, so that all applicants will be anonymous.
Resident and Fellows whose abstracts are chosen for oral presentation will be invited to give a six-minute presentation about their topic at the symposium. The Society will provide a two-night hotel stay for each oral presenter awarded. Cash prizes will be awarded for the top three oral presentations.
