Job Brief

As a qualified Inspired Specialist, you will have a rewarding opportunity to provide professional and engaging wellness therapies and massage treatments to our clients. Your role will be to offer a full range of treatments to fulfill different client needs and objectives, contributing to their overall well-being and satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Deliver a variety of spa services (body treatments, massages, facials, waxing, and other offered services) in a safe and comfortable manner.
Maintain equipment, tools, and sample inventory of products.
Keep documentation and maintain client files.
Keep a clean and stocked room.
Acknowledge and respond to relevant customer queries, needs, and expectations.
Suggest and promote retail products or additional services to elevate the client's experience.
Uphold hygiene standards and follow health and safety regulations.
Notify the administration of restocking needs of linens and treatment supplies.
Cooperate with and report on administration on any arising issues.
Apply best practices and be up to date with market trends.
Maintain own professional insurance for all licenses.
Maintain professional license(s).
Posting on social media (Collab with Inspired) at least twice a week and attend a networking meeting once a week.
Be available on scheduled days for clients booking 3 hours out.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Proven work experience as an esthetician and/or massage therapist. (Will consider newly licensed.)
Licensed Massage Therapist (Hands-on experience in massage techniques - various modalities a plus.)
Licensed Esthetician (waxing, facials, brows, lashes and/or face/body therapies.)
Experience in sales will be considered an asset.
Excellent knowledge of the English language.
Communication and customer service skills.
Positive attitude.
User-level computer and mobile app skills.
Current license in Massage Therapy and/or Esthetics.

What does an Inspired Specialist do?

An Inspired Specialist is responsible for providing various spa treatments and services to clients, promoting relaxation and overall well-being. On a day-to-day basis, here are the typical tasks and responsibilities of an Inspired Specialist:

Arrive on site at least 15 minutes prior to a scheduled client appointment to ensure that the room and all treatment supplies are ready and waiting for the client’s arrival.
Review customer notes in the appointment application. Review current consent forms if applicable. (Clients can book 3 hours out on the same day.)
Welcoming and greeting clients: Greeting clients in a warm and friendly manner, checking them in, and assisting with any questions or concerns.
Conducting client consultations: Assessing clients' needs and preferences, discussing any medical conditions or concerns they may have, completing and maintaining client assessment and release forms, and recommending appropriate spa treatments.
Performing spa treatments: Performing a range of spa therapies and treatments, such as massages, facials, waxing, body wraps, scrubs, and other wellness services, according to the client's preferences and needs.
Maintaining treatment rooms: Ensuring treatment rooms are clean, organized, and properly stocked with necessary supplies and equipment, creating a comfortable and peaceful environment for clients.
Providing and adhering to the expected exceptional customer experience: Ensuring clients feel comfortable and relaxed throughout their spa experience, answering any questions or concerns they may have, and maintaining a high level of professionalism and attentiveness.
Educating clients on treatments and products: Providing clients with information and recommendations on various spa treatments, products, and homecare routines to enhance their overall well-being and achieve desired results.
Promoting spa services: Upselling and promoting additional spa services, packages, and products to clients based on their needs and preferences contributes to the spa's overall revenue.
Staying informed of current and upcoming Spa discounts, sales, client incentives, and special promotions.
Handling administrative tasks: Completing necessary paperwork, maintaining accurate client records, booking/rescheduling/cancelling appointments, and ensuring proper billing and payment procedures are followed.
Ensuring cleanliness and safety: Adhering to strict hygiene and sanitation protocols, including cleaning and disinfecting equipment and tools and maintaining a safe and clean work environment for clients and staff.
Taking pictures of clients before and after treatment results. Recording videos of services being provided with the consent of the client. Create social media posts at least twice a week (collab with Inspired) that contain these objectives to educate and promote you and the services offered at the spa.
Attending in-person networking meetings at least once a week to self-promote as directed by the owner. The Inspired Specialist will be compensated for meeting attendance time.
Continuous learning and self-development: Maintaining professional licenses and certifications. Staying updated on the latest trends, techniques, and advancements in the spa industry by attending workshops and training sessions and actively seeking self-improvement opportunities.
Abide by the requirements and expectations outlined in The Gestalt House Code of Conduct.

Compensation:

Pay is Commission based plus tips.

We offer a scaled commission incentive.
