As you will be aware, we are currently working on a project to create a new artificial pitch here at school. As part of that project, we’ve been working with Fairford Youth Football Club. The Club are keen to grow women’s and girls football here in Fairford and currently runs two girls-only sessions, one for school years 5 & 6, the other for years 7, 8 and 9.
Both sessions are well attended, but there is room for more girls to join – if your daughter is interested, please complete this.
There are no trials before joining, Fairford Youth FC is a grassroots club, open to all - the only requirement to join FYFC is a love of the game.
The girls are keen to move from training into playing matches in the North Wilts Youth League, matches in the girl’s leagues are played on Saturdays, if you are interested in volunteering to support their coaching, development and matches, you can choose that option here too.
In additon, girls are welcome at all FYFC sessions, with many girls playing in our mixed teams. If your daughter would be interested in mixed football, please select that option too.
Finally, the school is looking at wider community usage options for the new pitch, which includes adult women’s football – if you’re a parent, guardian or know another adult who fancies themselves as the next Chloe Kelly or Beth Mead, then you can let us know!
