Assumption of Risk and Waiver of Liability

I, the undersigned member of LE VIEUX MARDI GRAS DE CAJUNS, INC. d/b/a EUNICE MARDI GRAS ASSOCIATION, hereby acknowledge that my participation in Courir de Mardi Gras is a dangerous activity, that my participation is voluntary and that I assume any and all risk associated with said activity. I acknowledge that said organization cannot guarantee my safety against the negligent or intentional acts of its members and/or its members’ animals and vehicles. As a member of the Association, in addition to any other applicable statutory of legal immunity, I do hereby release the officers and agents as well as the organization itself from any liability including but limited to negligence, lack of supervision or any negligent or intentional acts of any member, his animals or his vehicles from any injuries or damages which I may sustain while running or participating in Mardi Gras festivities. I, as a member of the Association, further assume individual responsibility for insuring the running of Mardi Gras is conducted in a safe manner and obligate myself to behave in a safe and proper fashion. I further state that I am OVER EIGHTEEN years of age and am under no mental or other impairment. In the event that I file an unsuccessful lawsuit against said organization for any action arising out of said activities,I agree to be responsible for the payment of attorney’ s fees, costs and expenses of said organization in defending said action.
