Program Specifics:
Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is pleased to invite artists from the Pikes Peak Region to celebrate the 104th running of this historic and iconic motorsports event.
Artists are asked to consider the theme of this year’s race in their artwork: “The World's Race America's Mountain – A Colorado Legacy."
Our theme features a patriotic celebration honoring both America's 250th birthday and Colorado's 150th birthday. Nicknamed the Centennial State, Colorado was recognized with statehood 100 years after the Declaration of Independence was signed.
Every year the Pikes Peak International Hill Climbs brings local, national and international media exposure to the Pikes Peak Region showcasing much of what makes this a great place to live and vacation.
With more than a century of racing on Pikes Peak, there is inspiration everywhere, from historic photos at various libraries and museums, to vehicles on display at Penrose Heritage Museum, to a nearly unending variety of YouTube videos, including driver interviews.
Selection Process:
- One winning artist will be chosen by a committee designated by the PPIHC CEO. Interviews may be requested.
- Honorable Mention Artists may be selected by the committee.
- The People’s Choice Award will be a popular vote conducted on PPIHC social media channels.
- Winners will be announced in PPIHC press releases and featured on PPIHC social media.

- Winning artwork reproductions will be used to create various print media related to race promotion including but not limited to: larger-than-life installations, on billboards, banners, merch, and limited edition commemorative posters/items. These will be shared with the community as visual reminders of a highly visible collaboration of art & motorsports. Artists will be given credit on any reproductions of their artwork.
