We are inviting ceramic artists—sculptors, installation artists, and makers of all disciplines—to participate in a unique exhibition that bridges the gap between professional mastery and foundational creativity. This showcase will feature select works from professional and collegiate artists displayed alongside student pieces from Chipeta and Broadway Elementary.
By exhibiting, you help provide a professional context for youth art and raise awareness for the Art Heritage and Artist-in-Residence programs that keep the ceramic arts alive in our schools.
The show will take place March 27th, 2026, from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Grand Valley Oasis event venue, 535 Hoover Drive, Grand Junction, Colorado 81504.
The deadline to submit this application is 02/20/2026 at midnight. Participating artists will also be required to complete and sign a licensing agreement.
Auction and Fundraising Opportunity:
Applying artists are welcome to donate an artwork to be auctioned off during the event. All proceeds from the auction will benefit the Ceramic Artist-in-Residence programs at Chipeta Elementary and Broadway Elementary. Bidding will be open to the public and minimum prices may be set by the participating artists. Acceptence of donated pieces is at the discretion of Valley of the Arts.
Important Information About Participation
By applying, you acknowledge and agree to these terms if selected:
Sales & Payment: We handle all sales. No commission is taken, but there is a $30 participation fee. Payments will be collected upon application approval, via PayPal, check or cash. PayPal transactions are subject to transaction fees. Please price your artwork to include sales tax; we will collect and remit sales tax. You will be paid your retail price minus sales tax as outlined in the licensing agreement.
Delivery & Pickup: You are responsible for transporting your artwork. If you’d like us to help move it to the venue, please arrange this in advance.
Insurance & Liability: While we carry an insurance policy that covers the event and we take the utmost care to protect your artwork, you are solely responsible for insuring your artwork for the duration of the show.
Promotion: We may photograph and promote your work in print and online. You retain all copyrights and will be credited. Artists will be provided graphics to share.
Display: Artwork will be installed the day of the event and returned afterward.
Taxes: You are responsible for reporting any income from sales.
