Thank you for helping us improve the lives of Wake County children and families with your sponsorship donation to the Peggy Hibbert Enlightenment Series! Community partners like you help us support the development of strong families, superior classrooms, and successful children!

Peggy Hibbert had a passion for early education and early intervention, which is reflected in her many years of involvement at Project Enlightenment as a parent, a doctoral student intern, and eventually as the staff coordinator of the Demonstration Preschool.

Her devotion to the mission of supporting families with young children led to the creation of the Project Enlightenment Foundation. She helped establish the first Board of Directors, set forth the goals and mission of the Foundation, and served as its first President. Each spring, the Foundation honors her lifelong work with this educational speaker event. The event is typically attended by 100 to 300 parents, educators and other professionals who work with young children.

Donations made in Peggy’s memory and sponsorships from community partners help make this event possible. Sponsor funds received in excess of event expenses will be used to further the mission of the Foundation to support and expand the work of Project Enlightenment for children and families in Wake County.

Sponsors at the Partner level and above will receive recognition at the event and on our website and social media posts leading up to the event. Sponsor forms received after February 28th, 2026 may not be guaranteed all marketing benefits.

Project Enlightenment Foundation uses the Givebutter app for event registration and payment processing. The Givebutter platform offers many tools for nonprofit organizations to make events easier, like QR code check-in. It also makes a wider variety of secure payment options available to donors, including credit card, PayPal, digital wallets, Venmo and ACH as well as DAFs.

Givebutter shows donors the online processing fees assessed by credit card and digital wallet companies, giving donors the opportunity to cover those fees so their entire intended donation goes to the nonprofit.

During the payment process, you will see the processing fees associated with your transaction. Donor coverage of processing fees is the default setting, but you will be given the option not to cover these fees.

The lowest fee option is ACH at 1.9%. You can avoid fees to either your company or the Foundation by mailing a check. Mailing address will be provided when you click submit.
