Food & Beverage Exhibitor Application

This is your application to participate as a food/beverage exhibitor at the Black Foodie Friday Food Tasting & Competition Event at the 2026 Atlanta Black Expo.

This submission does not guarantee approval. Applicatons will be reviewed and approval/denial will be communicated within 48 hours via email. 

If approved, you will receive an 'Acceptance' email with instructions on how to purchase your table.

If denied, you will receive an email with reason and recommendations.

 

Exhibitor Policies:

• Exhibitors must be either black owned or black represented (the company is non-black owned but has black representatives).
• Non-black owned companies/organizations can participate but must have at least one black representative present at the event.
• For the competition, only 2-3 companies per product will be accepted to exhibit. (example: once 3 brownie companies have been accepted, no other brownie companies will be allowed).
• Table sharing of any kind is not permitted.
• All sales are final. There are no refunds.

What is Black Foodie Friday?

BFF is a food tasting & competition event. Attendees will walk around and taste samples of food/drinks from some of the top culinary professionals in Atlanta. 

Attendees will then vote for their favorites in 4 categories:

Best Savory | Best Sweet | Best Vegan | Best Beverage

The winner of each category will win the following:

~ A $500 cash prize

~ Crowned Best of the 2026 Atlanta Black Expo & will hold the title until the 2027 Expo

~ Marketing and Promotion inclusion by leveraging this large scale event to gain customers (business growth) and establishing essential relationships with resources in the culinary industry (networking)

~ Showcased on Saturday & Sunday Expo

~ And more...

 

This event will feature 50+ Black Owned exhibitors. 

This event is open to all types of Black owned food/beverage companies. Here are some examples:

• Savory Food: BBQ, soul food, tacos, Jamaican, pasta, etc. 
• Sweet Food: cookies, cakes, candies, pies, etc. 
• Vegan Food: savory, sweet, etc
• Beverage: teas, lemonades, coffee, water, etc.
• Other: snackes, jams, spreads, etc.  

EXHIBITOR REQUIREMENTS:

~ ServeSafe certification

~ Website or social media

~ Food sample amount | 750 - 2oz samples of 2-3 food items (combined)

ex. 250 - 2oz samples of 3 food items

or

375 - 2oz samples of 2 food items

(equates to "approximately" large catering pans per food item)

~ Drink samples - 750 -  4oz samples

TO PROTECT THE INTEGRITY OF THE COMPETITION, OUR TEAM WILL AUDIT EACH EXHIBITOR TABLE BEFORE THE EVENT BEGINS TO DETERMINE IF YOU HAVE THE REQUIRED NUMBER OF SAMPLES TO ENTER INTO THE COMPETITION.

SAVORY, SWEET & VEGAN EXHIBITORS 

$250 | $100 PAID UPFRONT AFTER COMPLETION OF STEP 4 OF THE REGISTRATION PROCESS; $150 POST EVENT*

 

BEVERAGE & "OTHER" EXHIBITORS

$150 | $75 PAID UPFRONT AFTER COMPLETION OF STEP 4 OF THE REGISTRATION PROCESS; $75 POST EVENT*

*IN ORDER TO RECEIVE POST EVENT COMPENSATION, THE EXHIBITOR MUST ADHERE TO THE REQUIREMENTS ABOVE,  ATTEND THE EXHIBITOR HUDDLE @ 4PM, READY TO SERVE GUESTS @ 5PM AND HAVE THE MINIUMUM REQUIRED SAMPLES TO ENTER INTO THE COMPETITION.

*PLEASE ALLOW UP TO 5 BUSINESS DAYS FOR POST EVENT COMPENSATION.

THIS ALLOWS ACCOUNTING AMPLE TIME TO RECONCILE FINANCIALS FOR THE ENTIRE EXPO.

1. Register for the event and receive your approval form.

2. You will receive a flyer and a custom discount code. Your code will save an attendee $5 on their entry ticket. Example: It reduces a $35 ticket to $30.

3. Send this flyer/code to your entire community. Invite them to come see you at the event and vote for you. You'll want to have as many guests as possible to increase your chances of winning the $500 cash a prize.

4. For every attendee purchase using your code, you will receive 50%-100% towards your $250/$150 guarantee.

Example 1 : Guest purchases a $35 ticket, they pay $30 (using your discount code), you receive $30 towards your $250/$150 guarantee.

Example 2: Guest purchases a $65 ticket, they pay $60 (using your discount code), you receive $30 towards your $250/$150 guarantee.

 

HERE IS HOW YOU EARN ADDITIONAL INCOME

Any amout over and above your guarantee, you will receive 100% of all $35 tickets & 50% of $65 tickets - UNCAPPED!

After the Atlanta Black Expo has been reconciled (up to 5 business days), we will send you a report with attendee tickets purchased using your code and rebate amount you are due over and above your remaining guarantee (if applicable). 

You can use the rebate as a credit for our next Taste Urban event or receive an electronic payment for the amount. 

Rebate Example for $250 Threshold

20 guests purchase $30 tickets using your code- You make $30 per guest after the 9th guest. You meet your threshold and earn a rebate of $300...without selling a thing!
