Webinar Speakers:
Amy Stelly – Claiborne Corridor Project, LSU Health New Orleans
Amy Stelly is leading the charge to connect air quality data with real health outcomes along New Orleans’ Claiborne Expressway. Through hands-on AirBeam monitoring and community-driven research, her work empowers residents and students to turn lived experience into data that has already helped secure federal funding and fuel local change.
Darlene Cavalier – Founder, SciStarter
Darlene Cavalier believes science should be accessible—and she’s built a movement to prove it. As the founder of SciStarter, she partners directly with libraries to equip local community members with citizen science kits, including a national AirBeam library loan program that puts air-quality monitoring tools directly into people’s hands, transforming everyday curiosity into meaningful civic science.
Christina Weiler – Groundwork Hudson Valley
Christina Weiler is helping residents turn air quality data into community power. Through Groundwork Hudson Valley’s first-ever air monitoring program in Yonkers, local residents are getting the tools they need to monitor their air quality and push for healthier, cleaner environments.
