Connecticut Beer Tours & Transportation is looking to add per-diem drivers to our team for the spring and beyond!
We provide airport transportation, brewery and vineyard tours, and special events, such as tailgating outings. This role is a great fit for recent retiree, Uber/Lyft, or gig-economy drivers who want driving work without the wear and tear on their own vehicle.
What to expect:
• Airport transfers, brewery & vineyard tours, and tailgating events
• All shifts run about 7 hours
• Early mornings, late nights, and weekends depending on the event
• Schedule varies by season — busy weeks and lighter weeks throughout the year
This is a per-diem position with flexibility; drivers are encouraged to pick up as many driving shifts as they desire. Shift average 7 hours and are often early morning or late evening shifts.
Pay:
$18/hour to start (90-day probation & training period). Passenger endorsement required by the end of the probation period. Afterward, pay ranges from $20–$25/hour plus tips. W2 Employee.
Requirements:
- Must hold a current, valid Connecticut drive’s license and have held it for a minimum of three (3) years (clean record).
- Ability to drive company vehicles ranging from SUVs to 14-passenger Sprinter vans.
- This role requires a self-reliant driver who can work independently and make quick, rational decisions on the road using sound judgment, with minimal direction.
- Must follow DOT regulations (on/off duty time is tracked across all jobs)
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Mandatory Screenings: Must successfully pass a comprehensive background check and fingerprinting.
- Drug Policy Adherence: Due to state and federal transportation laws, all drivers are subject to state-required semi-regular drug testing. The use of marijuana is strictly prohibited and is an absolute disqualification for this driving position.
- Public Passenger Endorsement: Must currently possess or be able to obtain the required A Endorsement (Public Passenger Endorsement) within three (3) months of the start of employment.(training is provided; fee is required & will reimburse if you last 90-day probationary period)
