Practitioner Stream - Practitioner Members are individuals or organizational representatives who are:
- Actively engaged in community-based organizing, cooperative development, or a community of practice within the social and solidarity economy; and
- Able to contribute grounded, practice-based knowledge, including insights into local contexts, community needs, sector-specific experience, data, and public-facing education priorities relevant to CARN’s mission.
- This stream centers lived experience, applied expertise, and on-the-ground perspectives from community-led initiatives.
Researcher Stream - Researcher Members are individuals or organizational representatives who are:
- Affiliated with a university, research or educational institution, community-based research or education initiative, or a knowledge-mobilization network;
- Actively engaged in research, public education, participatory or community-based methodologies, or scholarship related to social, ecological, and economic justice; and
- Able to contribute critical inquiry, methodological expertise, and knowledge production aligned with CARN’s mission.
- This stream centers research, learning, and knowledge-sharing in support of public-benefit education and community-led inquiry.
