    Our Annual Awards Banquet shines a light on those who quietly and consistently make Burleson a better place to live, work, and grow. Your nomination helps tell the stories of those who lift others, invest locally, and move our community forward.
  • Nominees and recipients will be honored at the Chamber Awards Banquet on Thursday, March, 26, 2026.

    Nominations are due by Saturday, February 28, 2026.
  • Recipents will be be determined by a panel of judges based on the following criteria:

    Eligibility Requirements:

    • Nominee must live, work, or make a significant ongoing impact in the Burleson community.
    • Nominee must be at least 21. 
    • Nominee cannot be a current Chamber employee, board member, or immediate family of either.
    • The community should have tangibly benefited from the nominee’s involvement, actions, contributions and/or commitment.
    • Nominee must be members in good standing of the Burleson Area Chamber of Commerce. (*Excludes Citizen of the Year)
    • Past Citizen of the Year recipients are not eligible within five years.


    Eligibility Period:

    • The achievements or contributions that form the basis of the nomination must have occurred between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2025.
  • Non-Profit of the Year

    The Non Profit of the Year Award recognizes an outstanding organization whose impact, innovation, and leadership have strengthened the Burleson community. This honor celebrates a non profit that demonstrates meaningful community impact, sustainable growth, engaged volunteers, and effective programs while raising awareness for the cause it serves.
  • Small Business of the Year (0-25 Employees)

    The Small Business of the Year Award recognizes a locally owned business with 0 to 25 employees that demonstrates excellence in innovation, customer service, and community engagement. This honor celebrates a business that leads with strong practices, values its employees, and makes a positive impact in the Burleson community.
  • Business of the Year (26+ Employees)

    The Business of the Year Award recognizes a business with 26 or more employees that demonstrates excellence in innovation, customer service, and community engagement. This honor celebrates a company that leads with strong business practices, invests in its employees, and makes a meaningful impact in the Burleson community.
  • Citizen of the Year

    The Citizen of the Year Award recognizes an individual whose service, leadership, and compassion have made a lasting impact on the Burleson community. This honor celebrates someone whose actions reflect a genuine heart for others and a commitment to making Burleson better.
  • Marzie Bartee Chamber Volunteer of the Year

    Named in memory of longtime Chamber supporter Marzie Bartee, this award celebrates a selfless Chamber volunteer who embodies the spirit of service and commitment exemplified by Marzie Bartee.
  • Mary Slaney Spirit Award

    The Mary Slaney Spirit Award recognizes a woman in business who embodies the spirit of community through dedication, positivity, and support for others. This honor celebrates a leader whose encouragement, mentorship, and commitment to uplifting those around her reflect the lasting legacy of Mary Slaney.
