In honor of Sue Emery, one of the original car seat volunteers, the Sue Empowers Scholarship has been established to support a first-time KIDZ IN MOTION Conference attendee who does not receive financial support to attend the conference.
Funding for the Sue Empowers Scholarship is made possible through proceeds from earring sales by Clay by Carrisa and bracelet sales by Silver Linings Safety, LLC.
- Scholarship covers $400.00 of the 2026 KIDZ IN MOTION Conference registration fee.
- Scholarship recipients are responsible for the remaining registration fee balance of $175.00.
- Scholarship recipients are responsible for all other conference expenses, including travel and lodging.
- Scholarship is non-transferable and must be used in the year it is awarded.
Scholarship Criteria
- Applicants must be currently certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians or Instructors.
- Applicants must be first-time KIDZ IN MOTION Conference attendees.
- Scholarships are not available for individuals who already have registered and paid for the 2026 Conference.
Scholarship Process
- Complete this form by 5:00 p.m. (ET), Friday, March 6, 2026.
- Recipients will be notified no later than Monday, March 23, 2026.
- Recipients MUST register for the 2026 Conference before Friday, May 1, 2026.
