What we're looking for

We are looking for a diverse group of rising sophomores who will represent the many facets of the Wheaton community - students from a variety of majors, interests, and hometowns. Strong candidates for this program will be mature socially and spiritually, professional and articulate, have a strong desire to serve prospective students and grow in community with one another, and represent positively their Wheaton experience.
What Dekes do

Deke responsibilities include leading campus tours for prospective students and their families, hosting visitors overnight in their dorm room, and helping the Admissions Office with on-campus events. Dekes also commit to growing as a community, in personal spiritual formation, and as campus leaders.
Why we need your input

The dekes provide our guests with a connection to current students and give them a first-hand experience of the college. A college visit, like the one dekes help to provide, is often a key factor in a prospective student's college decision. Your reference for the applicant is important in helping the Admissions Office to show hospitality to visitors and share with them a student perspective of the Wheaton experience.
