The Ad Miller Award is presented to an individual (Member or Non-Member) that has significantly contributed to enhancing and preserving private property rights, is involved in the enactment of legislation that positively affects the REALTOR® business, and is committed to high standards in the political process, as exemplified by inspired leadership and service to the REALTOR® organization.
AWARD CRITERIA: The choice of the recipient for this distinguished award should be based upon an individual’s contribution toward enhancing and preserving private property rights, ownership and transferability, and the display of concern for others for the preservation of the free enterprise system, is involved in the enactment of legislation that positively affects the REALTOR’s business, and is committed to high standards in the political process.
In addition to the emphasis on preservation of private property rights, the task force’s decision should include consideration of the following:
A. Political involvement, i.e. worked for a candidate, political office holder, served on any city/county advisory board, etc.
B. Participation in any political clubs or organizations which promote the activities listed above, i.e. Tiger Bay.
C. Past or present membership or leadership in a political party on the local, state or national level(s).
D. Governmental Issues, Political Affairs, and/or Legislative Committee member or chair on the local, state or national level(s).
E. Attention to letters or testimonials from a person knowing of a special contribution by a potential recipient.
F. Emphasis will be on longevity and continuance of service and dedication.

*Members who served on the Board of Directors of the awards’ year are ineligible to receive any award, with the exception of the REALTOR® of the Year Award and the Ad Miller Award.
