Please review BMoA's Class Policies.
Inspired by exhibiting artist Ali Vaughan, students will step outside, observe nature with intention, and turn sunlight and shadows into striking patterns. Students will use acrylic paint to bring their designs to life.
Ann Diener's layered works are the inspiration for this session. Students will use color inks, colored pencils, paint, and other materials to express shapes and patterns.
Students will practice with different materials and fishing wire to hang objects, creating their own three-dimensional installation.
In this session, students create a relief print--carving a design onto a printing block--using images and text inspired by BMoA's history.
Students will experiment with organic forms by bending and twisting cardboard and newspaper, and glueing the forms together.
