Mingo Club Senior Grant Application

    The Mingo Club was started as a book club that became a lending library on Bailey Island in Harpswell, Maine. Over the years the club members have met the challenges of island life with resourcefulness and work diligently to raise money to maintain and preserve Bailey Island Library Hall. Our fundraiser is our July 4 Ice Cream Social at Bailey Island Library Hall. In addition, these women are dedicated to financial support to both the local elementary school for literature purchases as well as the senior high school students by awarding $1,000 grants annually.
  • Grant Purpose

    The MINGO Club Grant was established to support Harpswell residents pursuing post - secondary education at a college, university, vocational/trade school or to obtain a certification or license from a recognized program. The grants are $1,000 and are awarded to a deserving Harpswell senior. Interested students should complete this form and submit it. The form will be reviewed by the grant committee and the awards will be presented after June 1st.
