The Texas Craft Brewers Guild will host a lobby day at the Texas State Capitol on February 19, 2026, to support legislation that would expand and protect rights for breweries and brewpubs across the state of Texas. This will give our attending members the opportunity to interface with their elected legislators and legislative staffs about issues facing the Texas craft beer industry including Direct to Consumer Shipping and Delivery, Interfacility Transfer, the possible impact of the Beers For Steers campaign, and overall small business health. We highly encourage attendance, as a strong and united front of brewers talking about small business is a great way we can help to enact legislative change for our industry. Being an interim year this day will look different that our in-session TCBG Lobby Days, but is still important in working to make Texas the finest state in the union for craft beer.
We will meet at 1:30 PM at in the Texas Capitol Extension Legislative Conference Center (LCC) for a briefing before sending you out to the capitol for drop-in meetings with elected representatives and thier staffs. There will be limited downtime for the day, so please plan accordingly for lunch and any snacks. During these visits, you will have the opportunity to tell your business's story and how current regulations impact your business and to discuss some changes that would promote healthy growth for Texas beer as a whole. We will have packets with one pagers surrounding statistics for the Texas industry, the three primary guild priorities and any other information we need to get to Legislative Offices. Please bring some packaged beer from your brewery to share with offices to the Lobby Day (We suggest 2-3 or more cases, usually lighter styles are more popular with staff).
