    Staff Application Form - 2026

All staff are considered volunteer: some positions receive an honorarium but many do not. If you have questions with regards to the specifics of a position, please email us at tgccamp@gmail.com
  • *All workers aged 18 and older are required to have a completed Police Information Check/Criminal Record Check prior to beginning work on the grounds. If you worked for us in the last 2 years you do not have to submit a new record check: you will be asked to sign a criminal record declaration instead. Those working with young people and/or working at Teen or Children's Camp MUST take part in our Abuse Prevention Training prior to the start of camp: this is required each year, whether you have previous training or not. Specific dates and times are available from each camp's Director as posted online.

Please note that applicants for any position receiving an honorarium must be 16 years of age or older. If you are working at Family Camp, you must be 18 or have a registered adult staying on the grounds with you.

Cabin Leaders for Sr. Teen Camp must be 18 or older. Cabin Leaders for Adventure Camp must be 16 or older. Cabin Leaders in Training (LITs) must be older than the age group they are applying to work with.

Generally, staff will be expected to be on the grounds the day before each camp starts: see the website for specifics.

Staff will be welcome to stay on the grounds following family camp on July 7th and 8th for Activity Set-Up, and Drama/Worship practices.

Our Staff Prayer Retreat is Saturday, March 7th.

*Staff Training Retreat is May 9th with an option to come on the grounds May 9th for prayer and worship.  (This is a mandatory training day, particularly for new staff: if this is a problem it must be noted on the application. This is a very important day to connect with the team, receive valuable training, and pray/worship together).

Staff post-camp ministry time (optional where we minister to you): July 31st following the end of camp, finished after breakfast August 1st.

  • Faith Journey

The next few questions ask about your faith walk. It is OKAY if you are not very experienced, if you are not baptized, etc. However, this helps us to ensure you are not placed in a mentorship or teaching role for which you are not yet ready. Training and mentoring staff to grow in their own personal faith experience is important to us. It IS important to note that all staff must agree to support our statement of faith - which means that you are not teaching against it or interfering with the faith instruction taking place at the camp. If you are ready to come out as a learner, even if you have doubts or questions, then we would love to have you!
  • Below please provide the names and contact information for two references (not related to you) who could confidently speak about your character and work ethic.

  • "Staff Standards"

TCMA has developed a mission statement and a statement of faith. I agree to uphold these beliefs and this mission statement during my time at the camp. Any concerns I have with either the mission statement or statement of faith will be brought up to the Director or Chairman of the Board privately.

I recognize that while working/volunteering at the camp, I am expected to conduct myself as a model and representative of the Christian faith. I agree to refrain from swearing, lewd speech, immodesty, and will treat those around me with dignity and respect.

I understand that I am expected as a model of the Christian faith at the camp to take part in the spiritual life of the camp. I will do my best, where possible, to attend as many staff devotions and services as possible.

I understand that during camp if I am in possession of illicit drugs or alcohol, possession of or involvement with pornography, have current involvement with occult practices, or current sexually immoral practices that I will be removed from the grounds. I understand that criminal charges could follow.

I understand that unsafe practices with campers, such as hitting, punching, inappropriate physical touch or inappropriate communication (such as sexting, threats, or racist remarks) will result in my being sent home immediately. I understand that criminal charges could follow.

I understand that safety and abuse prevention training is mandatory prior to the start of camp. This training will include safe practices with campers, overall camp safety, duty to report, and the camp's firm policies against bullying, harrassment, and discrimination.
