Once enrolled, you will receive our detailed participant form with everything you need to prepare for Orvieto, including travel information, dietary preferences, guest options and final choices.
For now, a few things are useful to know.
Arriving in Orvieto
Plan to arrive at Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) in time to join our complimentary group transfer, departing at 12:30 pm CET on 23 June. At the conclusion of the Summit, our return transfer leaves Orvieto for FCO at 8:30 am on 27 June.
Both transfers are complimentary, but advance reservation is essential so that we can guarantee your place.
Prefer to make your own way? Orvieto is easily reached by train from Rome, followed by the funicular or local bus up to the historic center. Driving is also possible, with parking available below the hill in Orvieto Scalo and in paid garages in the city. Taxis and ride services are limited—one of the pleasures, and occasional eccentricities, of life on a medieval hilltop.
Your Stay
Summit participants arrange their own hotel or apartment accommodation. We will provide a carefully selected list of recommended places to stay, from intimate local hotels to independent apartments within the historic center.
Around the Table
Italian hospitality is part of the Summit experience. Evening meals together are included each day, along with two coffee and refreshment breaks—with the requisite Italian sweet and savory temptations—on Friday and Saturday.
Partners and guests are warmly invited to join us. Meal packages will be available for either a single evening or all three dinners.
For Partners & Guests: La Dolce Vita
If someone is accompanying you to Orvieto, we have designed something rather more interesting than waiting for you to finish a Summit session.
La Dolce Vita is our small-group invitation into the life of Orvieto: survival Italian over coffee, art and history, wine tasting in the Umbrian countryside, Lago di Bolsena, artisan experiences, wonderful food—and the pleasure of having the tickets, reservations and itinerary already arranged.
Simply meet your La Dolce Vita guide and let the day unfold.
For OLS participants and their guests, three possibilities are available:
Five Days — The Full La Dolce Vita
Arrive for 13–20 June or 20-27 June and enjoy the complete five-day experience together before the Summit—or let your guest enjoy the full program while you join selected days.
Three Days — A Taste of Umbria
Arrive ahead of the Summit for a three-day experience incorporating some of our signature excursions, with the opportunity for you and your guest to share one of the days together.
Two Days — While You Summit
Guests arriving with the OLS group can enjoy two curated La Dolce Vita days while Summit sessions are underway.
When registering, simply select the 2-, 3- or 5-day or OLS combo option that suits your plans. You will then be able to indicate which participant and guest will attend each experience, subject to availability.
What to Bring
Good walking shoes. Business-casual clothing. Curiosity.
And perhaps a little room for humor, wonder and awe.
Orvieto is a pedestrian hilltop city, and much of its magic is discovered on foot—through medieval streets, unexpected doorways, long tables and conversations that were never on the itinerary.
