2026 RDW Travel Support Application
Cure CMD is delighted to support you in representing the CMD community at 2026 Rare Disease Week on Capitol Hill, February 24-27.
Travel support applications must be received by Friday February 6, 2026, and will only be considered for those who:
- Live in the United States and is/has a loved one affected by one of the following CMD subtypes: Collagen 6, Dystroglycanopathy, LAMA2, LMNA, SELENON
- Will attend Rare Disease Week on Capitol Hill in person for a minimum of three days
- Can advance travel costs and share receipts prior to receiving stipend from Cure CMD after you attend RDW
Scholarship awards will be based on your state of residence (and therefore the cost to travel to Washington D.C.)., and will be no more than $800 per family, based on the number of applicants and funding avaialble. It is unlikely that this travel support will cover the entirety of your trip.
Please keep in mind that funds awarded from Cure CMD originate primarily from donations made by the CMD community. Therefore, we ask that you request funding only as needed and make travel arrangements through the most economic means possible.
Any costs you elect to cover out-of-pocket are eligible for in-kind donation credit. Please submit a summary of your actual out-of-pocket expenses to Cure CMD to receive a donation acknowledgement. Cure CMD is a U.S. registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization -- donations are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law.
