  • This form is for Covered lawyers (Administrative Matter No. 22-11-01-SC, Section 4(b); ULAS Advisory No. 2, S. 2025, Article  I. Section3.) who are willing to share their time, expertise, and dedication by volunteering with the IBP Isabela Office in furtherance of the chapter’s legal aid programs. By registering, you join our efforts to promote access to justice, strengthen legal awareness, and provide meaningful service to our communities with professionalism and care.

    • Choose your preferred schedule.
    • Each shift shall run for 3 hours, which will be credited as your Unified Legal Aid Service (ULAS) hours.
    • Currently, we can only accommodate 1 lawyer per shift. Morning (9:00 - 12:00 noon) and Afternoon (1:00 to 4:00),
    • Volunteers must be physically present during their schedule. ( ULAS Advisory No. 2, S. 2025, Article V. Section3[a])
    • Volunteers must sign the attendance logbook indicating time of arrival, and which must be certified pursuant to the rules. (( ULAS Advisory No. 2, S. 2025, Article V. Section3[b])
    • Each lawyer may only schedule as a L.O.D.I once a month.( ULAS Advisory No. 2, S. 2025, Article III. Section3)
    •  Requests for reassignment or cancellation must be formally communicated to the NCLA or Chapter Legal Aid Committee no later than 48 hours prior to the assigned duty. In cases of emergency or unavoidable circumstances, the assigned lawyer shall notify the NCLA or Chapter Legal Aid Committee as soon as practicable and submit a written explanation thereafter. ( ULAS Advisory No. 2, S. 2025, Article III. Section4)
    • Each volunteer must submit a duly accomplished and signed Duty Report summarizing the nature of services rendered during the shift. ( ULAS Advisory No. 2, S. 2025, Article V. Section3[c])
  • Key Expectations for Lawyer of the Day Volunteers

  • (a) General Responsibility: The Lawyer of the Day (LOD) is expected to provide pro bono legal aid services in compliance with the ULAS Rules and Manual, the IBP-NCLA Operations Manual, and relevant provisions of the Code of Professional Responsibility and Accountability (CPRA).


    (b) Authorized Functions: During your assigned shift, the LOD may engage in legal activities aligned with the legal aid mission, including but not limited to:

    • Offering free legal consultations
    • Drafting simple legal documents
    • Providing notarization services as outlined in Rule 4 of the ULAS Manua

    (c) Prohibited Acts: While on duty, LODs must refrain fromSoliciting or accepting any form of compensation, gift, or remuneration for legal services rendered
    Engaging in private legal services or referral arrangements involving a fee or personal interest
    Representing conflicting interests or providing legal advice outside their competence or authority

    The Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) recognizes its responsibilities as the personal information controller under the Republic Act No. 10173 (Act), also known as the Data Privacy Act of 2012, with respect to the data we collect, record, organize, update, use, consolidate or destruct/dispose from its members. The personal data obtained from this form is entered and stored within the Organization’s authorized information and communications system and will only be accessed by the IBP and IBP authorized personnel.
