AFC Monton - Expression of Interest 2026/2027
  • Expression of Interest 26/27 Season

  • Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to read through this expression of interest form, we hope to explain a little bit about the club and what our future plans are and should it be of interest then kindly complete the form and we would follow up on the same with you.

AFC Monton has changed its structure from the start of the 2025/2026 season in order to bring everybody closer together, we wanted to bring an Identity to the club from the Junior Section all the way through to the Senior Section and develop a structure that will offer our players a pathway from our Academy at age 3yrs+ all the way through into Youth Football and into the First Team.

We have succesfully transitioned onto a player monthly subscription of £30/month which runs for 12 months, Junior and Youth players are given match kit and a rain jacket every other season at the transition age groups and the monthly fee covers weekly training and weekly matches as well as covering club costs for things like club pitch and facilities maintenance, player insurance, utilities, annual presentation, parties for Academy to U11's as well as pitch/league fees.

Managers and Coaches do not have to chase payments anymore from their parents as our TeamFeePay system does that automatically, teams are furnished with football equipment and medical equipment every season to enable you to deliver your sessions and all pitch and refs fees are also settled by the club enabling you even more time to concentrate on the football itself.

With all that said we are now looking to expand the club, we have ambitions to develop the existing ground at New Alder Park to reach ground grading assessment for the North West Counties Football League that would take the club into offering a pathway to Semi-Professional Football. There is a lot in the pipeline to achieve this and is part of a 5 year plan that commenced in July 2025.

We are looking at facilities where we can provide a 4G venue to our teams to play from, in our initial assessment it was found in the shorter term to be difficult to block book a 4G pitch for regular use on a Saturday but is something the club are hoping to acheive longer term, but what we have found is that there are 4G facilities that are readily available to block book on Sundays and therefore it is something we are seriously considering for the new season 2026/2027 which will enable our Junior and Youth teams to play regular football on a Sunday, playing on a 4G pitch is far more productive for grassroots as they are able to withstand most weather conditions to keep the games on as opposed to grass pitches which can often succomb to rain and sub zero temparatures.

Grass Pitches of course are important too and we will continue to offer this on Saturdays and Sundays to all of our teams where a 4G is not available but for the Junior Section our objective is to have access to a base where we have a 4G pitch from 9am to 2pm every Saturday and Sunday to enable the club to reach its full potential and to enable consistency especially during the winter months.

If you are looking to find a club that can offer a pathway for your team and players into youth and senior football and are also interested in the possibility of playing home games on a 4G facility then we would like to hear from you.

We are looking for Mixed/Boys/Girls Teams from U7's to U16's in our Junior Section, the same for our Youth Section from U17 to U21 and then Men & Women for Open Age and Vets Teams.
