  • 2026 Berman-Gard Service Award Nomination Form

    The Georgia Psychological Foundation is seeking nominations for The 2026 Berman-Gard Excellence in Pro Bono Service Award. This annual award includes a cash prize for the Honoree, as well as a plaque and recognition for a psychologist OR mental health professional who has provided exemplary pro bono services to the community. Please nominate a psychologist or mental health professional whom you believe exemplifies altruism and "giving back" to those in need by volunteering, providing pro bono psychological services, and/or consultation to nonprofits or those with limited needs.  Self-nominations are welcome.  We want to honor and recognize all those who are providing Pro Bono services to their community so you may submit more than one nomination. 
  • Submission deadline: March 15, 2026

    Select Members of the Georgia Psychological Foundation Board of Trustees will consider all nominations and select a winner. The Psychologist selected will be recognized at the Georgia Psychological Association Annual Business Meeting being held @ the Atlanta Marriott NW at Galleria on Saturday April 25th @ 8 am.
  • Please provide the following information about the NOMINEE

  • The Berman-Gard award has been established by Dr. Betsy Gard in honor of her late husband, Dr. Barry Berman.  The award is given to a Georgia psychologist who has distinguished themselves by lending their expertise to a non-profit organization – either directly (ex., psychotherapy) or indirectly (ex., consultation or leadership).  The services must be provided without compensation.
