Thank you for your interest in being an SEJ 2026 campaign site!
The requirements for sites include:
- Be able to host an SEJ Intern 3-4 days a week from June 22 to July 31;
- Plug in the SEJ Intern into your organizing campaign in a meaningful manner, where they are adding to their organizing toolbox;
- Organizing campaigns must be C3-friendly and as such must be non-partisan and cannot be around ballot measures;
- Have a staff member supervise and mentor the SEJ Intern.
In the past, our interns have organized around housing and minimum wage campaigns. SEJ alumni have gone on to work as labor and other community organizers, staff of elected officials in San Diego, and have contributed to the local movement for social and economic justice.
The following questions are to ensure that sites are a good fit and ensure meaningful placement. Please be as detailed and specific as possible to allow us to understand your organizing work this summer. You will be notified whether or not you have been selected as a site by April. Please note this application does not automatically ensure an SEJ Intern is placed with your organization.
Thank you! For any questions, please contact the team at sej@cpisandiego.org
