Event Information
Join the Fletcher Team as we support the Bayou Lafourche Cleanup hosted by BTNEP! This is a community cleanup event that aims to remove litter from the whole of Bayou Lafourche. Wear your 'get dirty' clothes and comfy shoes! Cleanup supplies will be provided.

Faculty, staff, and students: please sign-up for the BTNEP sponsored 2026 Bayou Lafourche Cleanup (Saturday, 18 April 2026) by noon on Wednesday, 15 April 2026. Pre-registration is required.

This event runs from 8:30 am to 11:30 am and will clean both Bayou Lafourche and Bayou Terrebonne.

The Fletcher team will clean up at two sites: site A is near the E.D. White Historic Site on LA 1, just north of Thibodaux; site B is along LA 24 in Houma, from the US90 overpass to the North Branch of Terrebonne Parish Library. The address for site A is 2295 St Mary St, Thibodaux, LA 70301. Parking is available on the bayouside of LA1 at this site, and there is additional parking near the house. The address for site B is 4130 W Park Ave, Gray, LA 70359. You can park at the library.

As a part of pre-registration, all volunteers must agree to a waiver (see below). More details will be e-mailed to registered volunteers on 16 April 2026.

Pre-registered volunteers may receive a t-shirt. If t-shirt supplies run-out, BTNEP may place another t-shirt order but this is not guaranteed.

Waiver

All VOLUNTEERS must agree to the waiver below:

I further understand that I waive all claims and release Nicholls State University, the Barataria Terrebonne National Estuary Program and any other sponsoring non-profit or government agency from any use of my photograph or name. I hereby consent to the photographing of myself and the recording of my voice and the use of these photographs and/or recordings singularly or in conjunction with other photographs and/or recordings for advertising, publicity, commercial or other business purposes. I understand that the term "photograph" as used herein encompasses both still photographs and motion picture footage to reproduce and use such photographs and recordings of my voice for use in all domestic and foreign markets including the Internet.
