Position Overview
The Team Lead plays a key leadership role at Braidifye Hair Studio, supporting daily salon operations, upholding brand standards, and serving as a point of guidance for the stylist team. This position works closely with the Salon Manager and Owner to ensure quality, professionalism, and team alignment.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Support
- Set the tone for professionalism, accountability, and teamwork on the salon floor
Address and manage conflicts among stylists in a professional and respectful manner
Lead team meetings in the absence of the Salon Manager
Serve as a role model for Braidifye standards, work ethic, and client experience
Training & Onboarding
- Assist with onboarding and training of new stylists
Support skill verification and adherence to Braidifye service standards
Ensure new hires understand expectations, policies, and salon culture
Hiring & Recruiting
- Assist the Manager in identifying and interviewing potential braiders who are a strong fit for the Braidifye team
Attend career fairs and recruitment events alongside the Manager as needed
Quality Control
- Conduct routine walkthroughs of the salon floor to ensure all stylists are performing services according to Braidifye standards
Address quality concerns promptly and escalate issues when necessary
Client Experience
- Assist with client checkout when needed
Handle client concerns or complaints professionally and in alignment with salon policies
Administrative Duties
- Submit weekly team and performance logs to the Manager
Attend meetings, career fairs, and planning sessions, including select Mondays when the salon is closed
Schedule Requirements
Minimum of 40 hours per week
Availability on select Mondays for meetings, training, or recruiting events
Compensation
Commission-based pay (standard stylist commission)
$175 weekly leadership bonus, contingent upon meeting the 40-hour minimum and fulfilling Team Lead responsibilities
Eligibility Requirements
Must have been employed at Braidifye Hair Studio for a minimum of three (3) months
Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and leadership capability
Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
