Please review the cost information carefully. Each event may or may not have cost associated.

Example: Public Mine Event (Possible Fees)

Adult participants are responsible for any site entry or digging fees required by the mine owner, payable directly upon arrival.
Recon Rockhounding may cover entry fees for up to a specified number of minors for an event. This is event specific and will be clearly stated in the event announcement.
Additional minors beyond this limit may require a site fee paid directly to the mine owner, if applicable.

Example: Private or Public Land (No Fees)

If an event takes place on privately owned land, any digging or access fees (if applicable) will be clearly stated in the field event announcement.
Events that take place on public land do not have associated fees unless explicitly stated in the field event announcement.

I understand there are no guarantees of finds at Recon Rockhounding field events.I understand these events are process-focused (observation, preparation, responsible field practice).I understand outdoor field activities involve inherent risks.I agree to follow all site rules and event instructions.If I bring minors, I understand I am fully responsible for supervising them at all times.I understand I may be required to sign a site owner or mine owner waiver upon arrival.

Recon Rockhounding Field Event Participation Waiver & Release of Liability

1. Assumption of Risk
I understand that rockhounding and outdoor field activities involve inherent risks, including uneven terrain, use of hand tools, falling material, weather conditions, wildlife or insects, and remote locations. I voluntarily assume all associated risks.

2. No Guarantees
I understand that Recon Rockhounding events do not guarantee any specific finds or outcomes. Participation is for learning, observation, and responsible field experience.

3. Costs & Fees
I understand that some events may take place at locations that require an entry or digging fee set by the site owner. Any such fees are separate from Recon Rockhounding and are my responsibility unless explicitly stated otherwise for a specific event.

4. Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and hold harmless Recon Rockhounding, its organizer(s), volunteers, and representatives from claims arising from participation, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

5. Responsibility for Minors
If I register minors, I affirm that I am their parent or legal guardian, or otherwise authorized to sign on their behalf. I accept full responsibility for their supervision and conduct. This waiver applies to them as well.

6. Medical Authorization
In the event of an emergency, I authorize Recon Rockhounding organizers to seek medical assistance for me and/or minors in my care. I understand I am responsible for any associated costs.

7. Conduct & Safety
I agree to follow all safety guidance, boundaries, and site rules. I understand participants may be removed from an event if their behavior creates risk or violates expectations.

8. Photo & Video Documentation
I understand that photos or videos may be recorded during events.
