I am not employed by the City of Josephine If appointed, I will notify the City of any changes in my residence or business, or of any other relevant changes that would affect my appointment. I will also notify the City if any potential conflicts of interest arise. I recognize that my appointment requires my regular attendance and participation at all scheduled meetings. Failure to do so may result in my removal.

Members of a governmental body subject to the Open Meetings Act (OMA) are required to participate in education training sessions pursuant to Section 551.005 of the Texas Government Code. The training requirement applies to all elected or appointed officials who participate in meetings subject to the OMA. (Approximately 1 hour)
Texas Government Code Section 552.012 requires elected or appointed public officials to complete a Public Information Act training course within 90 days of taking the oath of office or otherwise assuming the responsibilities of office. (Approximately 1 hour)
Texas Government Code Section 2054.5191 mandates cybersecurity training for local government employees, elected officials, and appointed officials who have access to a local government computer system or database and who use a computer to perform at least 25 percent of their duties. (Approximately 1 hour)
