General Utah History Article Award
For the best Utah history journal article or chapter
in an edited collection appearing either in Utah Historical Quarterly or in some other publication in 2025. The award is funded by a gift from the LeRoy S. Axland Memorial Foundation. The award winner is selected by a committee appointed by the Historical Society Director.

Submission Guidelines

· Journal article or book chapter must have been published in 2025.

The winner receives a monetary award as well as being honored by Utah Historical Society and the Board of State History at a reception in January 2027.

Nominations will be accepted until September 2, 2026.
