The 2026 PACT Convening invites professionals and thought leaders to share their expertise on critical topics aimed at improving responses to child trafficking.
This year’s theme, “Be the IMPACT, Build the Dream” is a reminder that we all have the power to make a difference through our everyday actions. It invites us to reflect on sustainability at every level, consider how this work impacts us, and collectively dream forward beyond the present. Every contribution has an impact. Small steps move us toward the bigger picture and leave footprints behind for others to follow.

As a presenter, you’ll receive:
- Complimentary registration to the 2026 Convening for main presenter and up to one co-presenter
- An opportunity to showcase your expertise and your organization’s work
- A platform to enhance your professional portfolio and receive recognition and feedback
What We're Looking For:
We are seeking proposals for educational workshops, micro-skills sessions and main plenary topics that improve responses to the Commercial Sexual Exploitation (CSE) and Labor Trafficking of children and youth (,-inclusive of trauma informed and human-centered practice.) We welcome speakers who are engaging, interactive, and offer actionable strategies, replicable practices, or lived expertise. We want topics which are relevant to a diverse audience, including child welfare professionals, probation, education partners, direct service providers, and PACT Network members.
Topics of Interest Include (but are not limited to):
- After-care, Healing and Wellness
- Caregiver Supports and Education
- Creative Funding and Resource Allocation Approaches
- Culturally Responsive Service Provision (e.g., culture brokers)
- Engaging Underserved Populations of Youth with diverse identities and lived experiences (e.g., 2SLGBTQIA+, pregnant & parenting teens, gender expansive youth, boys, indigenous, Native American, youth with disabilities, or mental health needs)
- Evidence Based Practice Models that have emerging success with Child Trafficking victims/survivors
- Forced Criminality and Its Impact
- Familial Trafficking (ie: Mind Control, Manipulation and a Child’s Worldview)
- Generational / Whole Family Approach
- Harm Reduction When Working with Substance-Dependent Youth
- Immigrant and/or Undocumented Youth Support
- Innovative Fiscal Strategies
- Lived Expertise Leadership & Allyship
- Non-Traditional Therapeutic Modalities (e.g., meditation, music, dance, art, yoga, drumming)
- Online Exploitation & Safety Practices
- Participatory Action or other Research modalities used to develop models alongside survivors
- Primary Prevention & Intervention Strategies (e.g., Outreach and Training Models)
- Pregnant and parenting teen supportive strategies/models
- Racial Equity in Human Trafficking Service Provision
- Screening and Identification Tools
- Secondary Trauma, Self-Care & Burnout Prevention
- Simulation Lab (Survivor experiences, Child abuse prevention)
- Successful Local Practices and Collaborative Models (e.g., case studies on cross-county collaboration)
- Systems Mapping or Protocol Development microskills workshop
Submit Your Proposal
You are welcome to submit multiple proposals as we have a variety of speaking engagement opportunities this year. We look forward to learning from your experiences and insights as we work together to protect and support youth impacted by trafficking.
Proposal Types & Details
This year we have an opportunity for a variety of proposals: Workshops, Micro-Skills Sessions, and Plenary Speaking. Please indicate which form(s) of speaking engagement you would like to be considered for your specific topic.
Workshops will be:
- 75 minutes in length (including Q&A)
- Designed for smaller groups, with up to 50 participants
- Centered on participation and learning through dynamic, interactive, and inclusive methods
- Led by 1–2 trainers, with partnership from individuals with lived experience encouraged
Microskills Sessions will be:
- 45 minutes in length
- Designed for smaller groups, with up to 50 participants
- Focused on building one specific, practical skill through dynamic, interactive participation
- Structured so participants leave with a tangible takeaway or applied skill
Examples include:
- Developing a youth centered safety plan, with participants creating their own plan
- Practicing somatic healing exercises, with participants learning grounding techniques for themselves and for youth
- Led by 1–2 trainers, with partnership from individuals with lived experience encouraged
Plenary Sessions will be:
- 45–60 minutes in length
- Designed for the full audience (approximately 150–250 participants)
- Focused on engagement and learning through dynamic, interactive, and inclusive methods
- Relevant to a statewide audience and inclusive of all forms of trafficking
- Led by 1–4 trainers, with partnership from individuals with lived experience encouraged
