IHRA Australia advises that any Northern Territory drag racer who currently holds a valid, in‑date competition licence issued by an alternative sanctioning body will be granted complimentary licence for participation at all IHRA Australia–sanctioned venues and events.
This recognition is provided as a transitional allowance and will remain valid until midnight, 31 December 2026.
To be eligible, the competitor must upload both of the following through this JotForm:
- A clear copy of their current competition licence
- A clear copy of their vehicle logbook
This complimentary licence is provided free of charge. All approvals issued under this provision will expire at midnight on 31 December 2026 and will not be extended.
This temporary recognition also confirms that your licence is valid until its stated expiry date of 31 December 2026, and is accepted at any IHRA‑sanctioned facility throughout Australia during this period.
After 31 December 2026, all competitors will be required to hold a fully endorsed IHRA Australia Drag Racing Licence to participate.
It is the responsibility of the competitor to understand and comply with all IHRA Australia rules and regulations. The IHRA Australia Rule Book is available online and can be accessed via the link on the home page at www.ihra.com.au. Competitors are expected to familiarise themselves with all relevant requirements prior to participating.
