SHORT BIO - Councilmember Michael Mulcahy Councilmember Michael Mulcahy is a proud San José native and lifelong resident of District 6. Throughout his career, he has worked to make the city stronger, safer, and more vibrant—whether through his real estate projects or his support for local businesses. Deeply engaged in the community, he has served as past president of the Willow Glen Business Association and co-chair of the Downtown Development Strategy Task Force. Elected in 2024, Michael now serves on the City Council, focusing on public safety and economic growth to make San José a better place for everyone. SHORT BIO - Professor Ruwan Amila Silva, MD, MPhilProfessor Ruwan Amila Silva, MD, MPhil is board-certified and fellowship trained vitreoretinal surgeon. He sees patients at The California Retina Institute while remaining an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology and, by courtesy, Neurosurgery at Stanford University Medical Center where he also continues to perform surgery and conduct research.
