If you're thinking about starting a new student org, you're in the right place! There will be a couple of requirements for starting your new student org.
- Find five interested students who are willing to join your organization
- Find a faculty or staff member who would be willing to serve as your organizations advisor
- Determine the purpose of your organization and put it in writing
- Create goals for your organization in writing
- Submit this form asking for the aforementioned information
- Create bylaws for your organization, if you’re not familiar, bylaws are a guiding and foundational ‘rulebook’ for efficient functioning of your organization
- You will receive a follow-up email from the Vice Chair of the Student Organization Council (SOC) and/or the Coordinator of Student Life to discuss approval through SOC
We will send a seperate form to attach your bylaws following the completion of this form. We know bylaws can be more tricky/take more time, and we want you to be able to get the process started!
