• All contestants must be at the pageant 30 minutes prior to actual starting time. Time above is approximate. Pageant starts promptly at 2pm.

• All contestants will be judged in CASUAL WEAR (preferably red/pink and/or green with

• Eveningwear and will be required to answer a question on stage.

• All contestants must present a two-minute Speech, skit, or commercial about watermelons.

• All contestants must enclose a brief statement of how you would perform your duties if selected as Newberry Watermelon Teen Queen.

• Dressing rooms will be available. (Mirrors are a good idea to bring)

• The winner must represent the Newberry Watermelon Festival in at least four events, in order to receive her $125 at the end of her reign.

• All contestants will receive a trophy.

• The winner will be expected to ride in the Newberry Watermelon Festival parade on Saturday, May 16th. Please arrive at 10:00am as Parade start at 10:30am. You will be responsible for your own car and signs with your name, title and sponsor.

• All winners will be introduced at the Festival at 11:45am.

• All blanks on application must be completed.

DEADLINE: Application must be postmarked by April 20th. NO EXCEPTIONS!

ADMISSION: Admission is $1.00 at the door and under 5 FREE.

Any parent with unacceptable behavior disqualifies their child from this pageant, as well as future Newberry Watermelon Festival pageants.
